Gastroenterologist - Springfield, OR - 12-Hour Shifts + Call - Willing to Obtain License Accepted

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Sunday coverage as needed, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  
• Call: Required, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  
• Shift: 12-hour daytime shift followed by overnight call
  
• Setting: Acute care hospital
  
• Patient Population: Adults
  
• Average Daily Volume: Approximately 10–14 patients/day
  
• EMR: Epic
  
• Team: Dedicated inpatient Gastroenterology PA available Monday–Friday, with additional outpatient GI colleagues available for clinical/workflow support
  
• Hospital: Adult Level II/III/IV trauma services
  

Clinical Responsibilities:

The physician will provide inpatient Gastroenterology coverage, including:

• Inpatient rounding
  
• New GI consultations
  
• Hospital-based GI procedures
  
• ERCP procedures
  
• Coordination of care with specialty consultants
  
• Collaboration with the inpatient Gastroenterology PA and outpatient GI team

ERCP experience is strongly preferred and is the primary clinical need. Providers without ERCP experience may be considered if they have strong overall Gastroenterology experience.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience
  
• Oregon medical license required; providers willing to obtain an Oregon license are considered
  
• ACLS required
  
• Epic experience required
  
• Recent documented Gastroenterology clinical activity/case logs within the past 24 months are required for requested privileges
  

Additional Information:

• Provider will be the primary inpatient Gastroenterology physician during coverage.
  
• Specialty consultants are available as needed.
  
• A dedicated inpatient GI PA provides support Monday–Friday.
  
• Travel and lodging support are available for qualified providers.
  
• Overtime and holiday coverage are compensated according to assignment terms.
