Clinical Role
Join an established Gastroenterology practice in Bellingham, Washington, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient GI care. This six-month locums opportunity includes clinic, endoscopy, hospital rounding, admissions, and 24-hour call coverage while working alongside other Gastroenterologists within the practice.

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
Inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology
Patient Population:
Adults ages 18+
Patient Volume:
- Clinic: approximately 16 patients per day
- Outpatient Endoscopy Center: approximately 14-16 patients per day
- Hospital census varies
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Gastroenterology clinic coverage
- Hospital rounding
- Admissions
- Inpatient consultations
- Inpatient and outpatient GI procedures
- Provide 24-hour call coverage as scheduled
- Collaborate with other Gastroenterologists within the practice
Procedures & Skills
Required experience with:
- General Gastroenterology procedures
- ERCP
- Inpatient and outpatient GI procedures
Support & Technology
Clinical Support:
- Other Gastroenterology physicians are part of the practice
- Provider will not work independently without GI physician support
EMR & Technology:
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- ProVation GI software experience preferred
Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Washington license preferred
- IMLC candidates accepted
- ACLS required
- Required certification must be through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as applicable
Credentialing
Washington-licensed candidates are preferred; IMLC candidates will also be considered.
