Description
Noor Locums is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for short-term holiday locum tenens coverage in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
This assignment is for 24-hour GI call coverage for a consecutive 7-day period, with responsibility for inpatient consultations, transfers, and GI-related patient management.
The physician must be ERCP trained and have an active Indiana medical license, Indiana CSR, and DEA at the time of consideration.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Gastroenterologist seeking focused holiday call coverage.
Job Responsibilities
Respond to inpatient GI consultations.
Evaluate and manage GI patients.
Manage transfers and urgent GI cases.
Provide inpatient consultation services.
Perform ERCP as clinically indicated.
Collaborate with APPs, rounding nurses, and the GI team.
Complete required clinical documentation.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
ERCP trained – REQUIRED
Active Indiana medical license – REQUIRED
Active Indiana CSR – REQUIRED
Active DEA – REQUIRED
Must be available for the full consecutive call assignment
Must be comfortable providing 24-hour call coverage
Hospital privileges are not required to bid
Temporary privileges are available
Working Hours
24-hour call coverage
December 25, 2026 through January 1, 2027 at 7:00 AM
Seven consecutive days of call coverage
Holiday coverage includes Christmas and New Year's period
Call Responsibilities
The physician will be responsible for:
GI consultations
Inpatient GI management
Transfers
ERCP and other appropriate GI procedures
Urgent/emergent GI needs during call
