Description:
Noor Locums is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Bellingham, Washington.
This assignment provides a mix of clinic, outpatient endoscopy, inpatient GI care, procedures, rounding, and 24-hour General GI call. The physician will work alongside another Gastroenterologist and support both hospital and outpatient services.
Assignment Highlights:
- 24-hour General GI call required
- Clinic and hospital coverage
- Outpatient endoscopy procedures
- Inpatient rounding, consultations, admissions, and procedures
- Adult patient population
- Approximately 6 clinic patients per day
- Approximately 4–6 outpatient endoscopy patients per day
- Hospital census varies
- Epic EMR
- Work alongside another GI physician
- Ongoing coverage beginning November 2026
Job Responsibilities
Participate in 24-hour call coverage
Perform inpatient GI consultations and procedures
Round on hospitalized patients and participate in admissions
Evaluate and manage clinic patients
Perform outpatient endoscopy procedures
Participate in outpatient hospital endoscopy blocks
Provide appropriate follow-up care
Collaborate with GI and other members of the healthcare team
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience
Active Washington medical license required at the time of start
IMLC accepted
Candidates who are willing to obtain a Washington license may be considered
Epic experience required
Must be comfortable providing General GI coverage across clinic, hospital, and procedural settings
Must be willing to participate in 24-hour General GI call
Advanced Endoscopy Experience:
Advanced Endoscopists are encouraged to apply. ERCP and EUS experience may be applicable to the assignment.
Working Hours
8-hour scheduled shifts
Evening, overnight, and weekend coverage as part of 24-hour call
Call includes consultation, rounding, and inpatient/outpatient GI procedures
Schedule may vary based on coverage needs
