Description
Noor Locums is seeking Board Certified Gastroenterology physicians for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Bellingham, Washington.
This opportunity offers a combination of gastroenterology clinic, outpatient endoscopy, and hospital-based GI services. Physicians interested in providing 24-hour General GI call are preferred, but call is not required, making this an option for physicians seeking primarily outpatient GI coverage.
The practice includes a gastroenterology clinic, outpatient endoscopy center, and hospital services, with the opportunity to work alongside other Gastroenterology physicians.
Assignment Highlights
- General Gastroenterology
- Clinic + outpatient endoscopy + hospital coverage
- 24-hour General GI call available but not required
- Clinic hours: approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- ASC/endoscopy hours: approximately 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Epic EMR
- Average clinic volume: approximately 16 patients/day
- Outpatient endoscopy volume: approximately 14–16 patients/day
- Hospital-based GI procedures and consultations
- Ongoing locum tenens opportunity
- Multiple physicians being considered
Job Responsibilities
Perform outpatient endoscopic procedures
Provide hospital-based GI consultations and procedures
Perform colonoscopy, EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, dilation, and other general GI procedures
Participate in hospital rounding and inpatient GI care as applicable
Provide 24-hour General GI call if elected
Collaborate with other Gastroenterology physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Document patient care in Epic
Support outpatient hospital endoscopy blocks as needed
Qualifications
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Active Washington medical license or IMLC eligibility
Minimum 1 year of Gastroenterology experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Epic experience required
Recent clinical activity in Gastroenterology required
Comfortable performing general GI procedures
Colonoscopy experience
EGD experience
Flexible sigmoidoscopy experience
Dilation experience
Hospital and outpatient GI experience preferred
Working Hours
Approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Outpatient Endoscopy Center:
Approximately 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Hospital Call:
24-hour General GI call available but not required
Coverage begins November 2, 2026, with ongoing coverage needs.
