REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Required:
- Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser))
- Small Bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible)
- Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp)
- Preferred:
- Esophageal dilatation/manometry
- Esophageal manometry interpretation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: Board certification required
- Licenses: Licensed in MD or Universal License (IMLC)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Fellowship: Required
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures
- Administer moderate sedation alongside nursing staff
- Interpret endoscopic findings and manage patient care
- Document procedures in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with support staff for patient management
