This long-term locums opportunity in Plattsburgh, NY offers recurring monthly coverage through July 2027, combining inpatient GI consults, general endoscopy, APP support, and a defined weekend call block.

ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS

- 9-Month Locums Assignment
- October 2026 Start
- Coverage Through July 2027
- Monday-Friday Daytime Coverage
- No Scheduled Overnight Call Monday-Thursday
- Inpatient + Outpatient GI
- General GI Endoscopy
- Approximately 4-5 New Inpatient Consults/Day
- GI NP/APP Support
- Dedicated Nursing + Ancillary Support
- Weekend Call During Assigned Coverage Week
- On-Site Hospital Setting
- Epic EMR Preferred
YOUR WEEK
Monday-Thursday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Start the day with inpatient GI procedures, transition into outpatient procedures, then finish with inpatient consultations and rounds alongside the GI NP.
Friday includes inpatient and outpatient procedures followed by weekend call beginning at noon and continuing through Sunday at 8:00 AM. Emergent inpatient GI procedures are performed as needed during call.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- MD/DO Gastroenterologist
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 3 years of Gastroenterology experience
- Strong general GI + endoscopy skills
- Eligible for or able to obtain New York medical licensure
- Comfortable with inpatient consults and inpatient/outpatient procedures
- Available for weekend call during assigned coverage
- Epic experience preferred
- Previous locums experience preferred, but not required
