Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for a 13 week Locum Tenens assignment providing gastroenterology coverage in a hospital based setting. The role includes weekday ACU coverage along with scheduled 24 hour unrestricted call for consults, rounding & add on cases.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide ACU coverage Monday through Friday
• Perform gastroenterology consultations
• Conduct inpatient rounding
• Manage add on ACU cases
• Provide unrestricted 24 hour call coverage when scheduled
• Evaluate & manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions
• Coordinate care with hospital staff & multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
• Provide coverage during internal physician PTO & other staffing needs
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Washington physician license required
• Washington license must be in hand at the time of presentation
• EPIC experience required
• COVID 19 vaccination required per facility guidelines
• Ability to provide inpatient & outpatient gastroenterology coverage
• Current clinical experience representative of requested privileges
Working Hours
• ACU: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Scheduled 24 hour unrestricted call: 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM
• Call includes consults, rounding & add on ACU cases
• Call coverage needed primarily for internal physician PTO & coverage gaps
• 8 hour non billable orientation
• 13 week assignment
• Start Date: December 7, 2026
