  • Start Date: October 5, 2026
  • Assignment Length: 12 months
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM + shared call, Full Time Need
  • Call: Shared with another GI provider; offsite call
  • Call Frequency: Provider called in approximately 1–2 times per week
  • Response Time: 30 minutes for emergency consultation / 12 hours for routine consultation
  • Procedures: General GI, EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP required
  • Procedure Volume: 12–14 procedures per day
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Support: APP support provided

The client is open to two providers alternating weeks but strongly prefers one consistent provider for continuity of care. The selected physician will provide general GI services, including EGD and colonoscopy, with ERCP required. Average procedural volume is approximately 12–14 procedures per day.
APP support is available, and the call burden is relatively limited, with providers typically called in 1–2 times per week, most commonly for active GI bleeds.

Procedures Required:

General GI:

  • Upper endoscopy (EGD)
  • Colonoscopy

Advanced Procedures:

  • ERCP – Required (mid-level/moderate complexity)
  • EUS – Not required

Additional Procedures Performed:

  • Esophageal, duodenal, or luminal stent placement
  • Argon plasma coagulation
  • Esophageal, gastric, small bowel, and colon biopsies
  • Colonoscopy with or without polypectomy
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic EGD
  • Enteral alimentation
  • Esophageal dilation, including balloon, bougie, or Savary with guidewire
  • Foreign body removal via EGD
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • GI motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring
  • Non-variceal hemostasis, upper and lower GI
  • Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)

Patient Volume:

  • Approximately 12–14 procedures per day
  • Patient population described as medically complex and frequently non-compliant
  • Patients often bring family members to appointments
  • Trauma Level IV
  • 192 Beds

Support Staff:

  • APP support provided
  • Shared call structure with another GI provider

Credentialing:

  • Estimated credentialing timeline: ~3 months
  • Medicare and Medicaid enrollment included

  • Interview provides an opportunity to discuss procedural scope, call expectations, and workflow
