Gastroenterologist needed for Prestonsburg, KY, known as the "Star City", nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. It is a small town atmosphere with a kind and welcoming culture. Lots of history, nature (hiking, golfing, lake activities), bourbon + moonshine tours, live music, etc.
• Long-term assignment with coverage needed through 12/31/2026, with potential to extend
• Full-time opportunity with day shifts and night call coverage.
• Opportunity created by a retiring provider, indicating an ongoing coverage need.

Job Responsibilities
12-15 OR procedures/day | *Fewer if the procedures are longer/more complex
Support Staff for Clinic:
1 NP
1 clerk
1 Medical Assistant
Clinic Volume: 25-30 patients/day with a 15/30min schedule
EMR: Meditech
Qualifications
Active ACLS
Active BLS
Will be required to supervise APP
Active KY license
Active KY DEA
Active IMLC w/LOQ in hand
Working Hours
Call: (7a-7a) with 1-2hrs of morning rounding (10 days of call shifts/month)
OR: 2-3 days/week
FT locums assignment
Day shifts available
Night call coverage required
Onsite orientation
