• Locum Gastroenterology Physician opportunity in Bellingham, WA
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Expected assignment duration of approximately 6 months
• Coverage includes inpatient & outpatient GI services
• Adult patient population
• 24 hour weekday & weekend call coverage
• Opportunity due to a coverage gap
• Work alongside other GI physicians
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Provation GI software experience preferred

Job Responsibilities
• Round on hospitalized patients
• Perform inpatient consultations & admissions
• Provide inpatient & outpatient GI procedures
• Perform procedures in outpatient endoscopy settings
• Support outpatient hospital endoscopy blocks
• Manage adult GI patients in clinic settings
• Perform ERCP procedures
• Collaborate with other GI physicians
• Maintain appropriate procedure documentation & case logs
Qualifications
• Active Washington medical license preferred
• IMLC accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• ACLS required
• ERCP experience required
• Minimum 50 successful ERCP procedures within the past 2 years
• Documentation of relevant GI clinical activity from the previous 24 months required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Provation GI software experience preferred
• Candidates should be comfortable with inpatient, outpatient & call responsibilities
Working Hours
• 24 hour call/hospitalist shifts
• Weekday & weekend coverage
• Standard daytime hours approximately 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call includes rounding, consultations & GI procedures
• Clinic volume: approximately 16 patients/day
• Outpatient endoscopy volume: approximately 14 to 16 patients/day
• Hospital census varies
