• Locum Gastroenterology Physician opportunity in Bellingham, WA
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Expected assignment duration of approximately 6 months
• Coverage includes both inpatient & outpatient GI services
• Adult patient population
• Inpatient, outpatient clinic & endoscopy responsibilities
• Opportunity created due to a coverage gap
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Provation GI software experience preferred
• Start Date: September 14, 2026

Job Responsibilities
• Conduct clinic visits & consultations
• Perform GI procedures in endoscopy settings
• Round on hospitalized patients
• Complete admissions & consultations
• Provide 24 hour weekday & weekend call coverage
• Perform inpatient & outpatient GI procedures
• ERCP required
• Collaborate with other GI physicians
• Maintain required procedure documentation & case logs
Qualifications
• Active Washington medical license preferred
• IMLC accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• ACLS required
• ERCP experience required
• Minimum 50 successful ERCP procedures within the past 2 years for ERCP privilege maintenance
• Documentation of relevant GI procedures from the previous 24 months required
Working Hours
• Clinic/endoscopy: 8 to 9 hour day shifts
• Typical day schedule: approximately 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• 24 hour call shifts for weekday & weekend coverage
• Call includes rounding, consultations & inpatient/outpatient GI procedures
• Both inpatient & outpatient coverage
• Clinic volume: approximately 16 patients/day
• Outpatient endoscopy volume: approximately 14 to 16 patients/day
