Job Overview – Gastroenterologist
Compensation: $550,000–$750,000/year
Location: Hudson County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Gastroenterologist in Hudson County, NJ for our client, supporting inpatient, outpatient, and endoscopic gastroenterology services across a healthcare network. This role will diagnose and manage gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions, perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and provide hospital-based consultation coverage.
Responsibilities as the Gastroenterologist:
- Gastroenterology Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal and related digestive health conditions.
- Endoscopic Procedures: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in accordance with established clinical standards.
- Patient Management: Develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing consultation and follow-up care across appropriate clinical settings.
- Clinical Coverage: Provide gastroenterology coverage and respond to urgent patient care needs as required.
- Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and clinical teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Quality & Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold established quality, safety, and professional standards.
Qualifications for the Gastroenterologist:
- Education: MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship is required.
- Licensure: Active or eligible New Jersey medical licensure is required.
- Certification: Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology is required.
- Experience: Clinical experience providing comprehensive gastroenterology care and performing endoscopic procedures is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal conditions, diagnostic evaluation, treatment, and endoscopic care is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with endoscopic procedures and electronic health record systems is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, procedural expertise, communication, collaboration, and patient care skills are required.
