Duration/Assignment Length:
September 6-10 immediately available. January 2027 ongoing dates released once September is filled. Ongoing, first to fill.

Schedule:
24-hour call, 7am to 7am. Weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 3pm or 9am to 5pm. Minimum 40 hours per month. 3 months of scheduled shifts maintained at all times.

Compensation:
$350/hr

Travel:
Local and drive-in candidates preferred. Preferred hotels: Sheraton Denver West, Hampton Inn, Sonesta Simply Suites, TownePlace Suites Marriott, Fairfield Inn Denver West.

Job Responsibilities

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado — a CommonSpirit Health Level I Trauma Center — needs an ERCP and EUS-trained Gastroenterologist for weekend locum coverage. This is a first-to-fill opportunity with no hard bid deadline.

Here is why the timeline matters: September 6-10 is the entry point. January 2027 ongoing dates are released to the physician who fills September. The gastroenterologist who moves first owns the long-term assignment.

Qualifications

5 to 8 scopes per day, 8 to 10 new patients and follow-ups
GI consult service, inpatient. You do not admit independently.
24-hour call structure, 7am to 7am
Level I Trauma Center with 24/7 intensivists and hospitalists on site
Adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients
PACS: Merge. Dictation: Fluency. EMR: Epic.
Productivity target approximately 70 wRVUs per shift, actively monitored

Working Hours

September 6-10 available now. Ongoing 2027 dates follow. Minimum 40 hours per month. Must maintain 3 months of scheduled shifts at all times. Must be credentialed at a minimum of 2 facilities as a GI locum provider.

Skills

Board certified Gastroenterologist
ERCP and EUS competency required — must be demonstrated
Colorado license or active IMLC. No CO license? IMLC accepted and we will license you.
Must be credentialed at minimum 2 facilities as a locum GI provider
Clean background and NPDB required
Productivity expectation: approximately 70 wRVUs per 8-hour shift
