Job description

Job description

A premier physician-owned private practice in beautiful Tallahassee, Florida is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join their well-established team. A role opening up because of tremendous, sustained growth, not attrition. This is a genuinely rare setup: 100% outpatient, no call, and a heavily procedure-driven practice, with 80% of your time in the ASC and just 20% in clinic. You'll walk into a 30+ year practice with a tremendous reputation, strong referral base, and high patient demand from day one, performing approximately 18 procedures per day. Your schedule runs a clean Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, no weekends, backed by a newly renovated clinic, an on-site Ambulatory Surgery Center, and advanced diagnostic technology including FibroScan and PillCam. With a team of 3 experienced APPs and seasoned support staff, and an excellent compensation package, this is bread-and-butter GI with a rare combination of efficiency, autonomy, and true work-life balance — in a city that offers Florida living without the Miami traffic.

PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

  • 30+ year, physician-owned practice — step into a long-established Tallahassee GI practice with a tremendous reputation and high, sustained demand.
  • 100% outpatient, no call — a genuinely rare structure for GI, with zero call obligations (optional paid hospital call available if you want extra earning potential).
  • ASC-driven procedural volume — spend 80% of your time in the Ambulatory Surgery Center and 20% in clinic, performing approximately 18 procedures per day.
  • Bread-and-butter GI, with room to explore — perform colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, esophageal dilation, and capsule endoscopy, with advanced procedures optional based on your interests.
  • Clean Monday-Friday schedule — 8am-5pm with no weekends, giving you real, predictable time outside the practice.
  • Newly renovated, modern facilities — practice in a state-of-the-art clinic with an on-site ASC and local hospital facilities just minutes apart.
  • Advanced diagnostic technology — access to FibroScan and PillCam for a broader, more sophisticated diagnostic toolkit.
  • Strong, experienced support team — work alongside 3 experienced APPs and seasoned clinical and administrative staff.
  • Outstanding, negotiable compensation — base salary plus a percentage of collections
  • Strong start-up support — Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
  • Comprehensive benefits package — full health, vision, and dental coverage, 401K, 5 weeks PTO, CME assistance (5 days + $5K), and malpractice/tail coverage included.
  • Open to new grads — the practice welcomes new graduates as well as experienced physicians .
