We are seeking a Locum Gastroenterology Physician to provide coverage in Bellingham, WA. The role includes hospital coverage, inpatient rounding, admissions, GI procedures, clinic assistance & 24 hour call. The position is primarily day shift with no weekends except when assigned to call.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient & outpatient gastroenterology care
• Perform hospital rounding & admissions
• Perform GI procedures
• Provide clinic assistance in the morning while on call
• Participate in 24 hour hospital call
• Provide approximately 14 hospital shifts per month
• Manage GI consultations and urgent patient needs
• Collaborate with other GI physicians in the practice
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care across hospital & clinic settings
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Active Washington medical license required by start
• Candidates without an active WA license may be reviewed if they can obtain it before start
• EPIC experience required
• Additional certifications as required by MSO
• Inpatient & outpatient GI experience required
• Comfortable with 24 hour call coverage
• Must be able to perform hospital rounding, admissions & GI procedures
Working Hours
• No weekends except when on call
• Approximately 14 hospital shifts per month
• 24 hour call coverage
• Clinic assistance in the morning while on call
• Approximately 4 patients per day in the morning when on call
• Start: ASAP
