Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position in Anchorage, Alaska. This is an ongoing locum tenens assignment covering general gastroenterology in both clinic and endoscopy settings. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care hospital
- Cerner EMR
Job Responsibilities
Perform endoscopic procedures during dedicated full-day endoscopy blocks
ERCP and EUS are not required for this role - these procedures are handled by general surgery
Provide weeknight and weekend call coverage for the gastroenterology service
Document all clinical encounters in Cerner
Qualifications
Active Alaska medical license required; candidates willing to obtain Alaska licensure will be considered
Working Hours
Call coverage required in addition to scheduled clinic and procedure days
24-hour weekend call
Weeknight call
