Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position in Springfield, Oregon. This is an inpatient acute care opportunity with a primary focus on ERCP. Please see below for more information.
- Trauma Level: Adult II/III/IV
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Perform ERCP and related endoscopic procedures
Manage an average daily census of approximately 10 patients, with approximately 14 patients seen per day
Serve as the sole inpatient gastroenterology physician, with access to specialty consultants and outpatient gastroenterology colleagues for workflow questions
Dedicated inpatient gastroenterology APC support available Monday through Friday
Adult patient population
Provide documentation of gastroenterology clinical activity from the previous 24 months (case logs) representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested; providers who completed training within the previous year may submit a training log
Qualifications
Oregon state medical license required; candidates willing to obtain licensure will be considered
ACLS required
ERCP competency required
Epic charting experience required
Working Hours
Night call required, 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
All shifts are 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. with evening call, including weekends
Weekend 24-hour call
Scheduled coverage plus on-call responsibilities
