Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position in Bellingham, Washington. This is a general gastroenterology opportunity covering both hospital and clinic settings. Please see below for more information.
- 251-bed acute care hospital
- Adult Trauma Level II, III, IV
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
Perform inpatient and outpatient GI procedures
Complete admissions and round on admitted patients
Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations
Independently manage a general gastroenterology practice, including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
Clinic volume approximately 16 patients per day
Outpatient endoscopy center volume approximately 14-16 patients per day
Hospital census varies
Adult patient population, 18 years and older
Both clinic and hospital privileges required
Qualifications
Washington state license required; IMLC accepted
Epic charting experience required
Additional certifications as required by the medical staff office
Working Hours
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours typically 8 per day; vary when on call
Weekend, evening, and night coverage when on call
24-hour call required, including consults, rounding, and inpatient/outpatient GI procedures
