Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position in Seguin, Texas. This is a full-scope general gastroenterology opportunity in an outpatient clinic setting with associated inpatient call coverage at an acute care hospital. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: Outpatient clinic with hospital-based call coverage
- Facility type: Acute care hospital
- EMR: Athena One (clinic) and Meditech Expanse (hospital)
Job Responsibilities
Perform full-scope endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EGD, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy (EUS not required)
Manage an average daily census of approximately 10 patients
Perform approximately 10-15 procedures per day
Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
Practice independently across the full scope of general gastroenterology
Provide evening and overnight call coverage following clinic shifts
Qualifications
Active Texas medical license required; IMLC accepted
ACLS certification required
Procedural competency in ERCP, EGD, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy
Working Hours
Clinic coverage 3-4 weekdays; flexibility on scheduled days
Call: evening/overnight following clinic shift
Non-restricted call; provider must be within 30 minutes of the facility
