Call Coverage:

Position Requirements:
• Gastroenterology physician
• Florida License Required
• Providers must be open to picking up both inpatient and outpatient coverage
• Up-to-date CV required at submission
• Lee Attestation Form required at submission
• CV and Lee Attestation Form must be merged together and uploaded under the CV
Responsibilities:
• Round on inpatient GI consultations
• Follow up on existing GI patients
• Perform GI procedures as needed
• Manage inpatient GI cases
• Provide GI consultation services
• Participate in inpatient call coverage as assigned
Patient Volume:
8–12 inpatient consults per day
2–8 procedures per day
Volume varies by day and location
Procedures:
Required/Expected
• General GI endoscopic procedures
• Colonoscopy
• Upper Endoscopy (EGD)
Preferred – Not Required
• ERCP
• EUS
Support Staff:
• Fully staffed surgical suites
• Anesthesiologists participate in all procedures
Orientation:
• Orientation is paid at a set rate
• Orientation is billable for a maximum of 4 hours
Additional Details:
• Location will vary depending on the assigned coverage date
• Providers must be flexible regarding the specific Lee Health location
• Inpatient coverage is the immediate need; outpatient opportunities will be provided at a later date
• Facility is open to ongoing coverage
• Providers should be comfortable with both inpatient responsibilities and outpatient GI coverage
