Job description
Seeking a Locum Gastroenterology Physician (MD/DO) for a combination of inpatient and outpatient coverage in Bellingham, Washington. The provider will work alongside other Gastroenterologists within the practice and provide hospital and clinic services. This is an ongoing coverage need due to a gap in staffing.
Job Responsibilities
Perform hospital rounding, admissions, consultations, and procedures
Provide scheduled daytime clinic coverage
Participate in required hospital call coverage
Manage approximately 4 patients in the morning when on call
Collaborate with other Gastroenterologists and practice support staff
Provide clinic assistance during the morning following overnight call
Complete required call-related administrative/clinical coverage
Qualifications
ERCP experience required
Recent Gastroenterology clinical activity/case logs within the past 24 months
ACLS certification
Appropriate state licensure; licensing assistance may be considered depending on start date
Hospital privileges required
Working Hours
Daytime scheduled shifts
24-hour call coverage
Approximately 14 hospital call shifts per month
Night call: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
No weekend coverage except when assigned to call
No block scheduling
4 hours of complimentary/gratis coverage included for call
