• Seeking a Locum Gastroenterologist (MD/DO) for coverage
• Position includes both inpatient & outpatient GI services
• Provider will work in the clinic, hospital, and outpatient endoscopy setting
• Approximately 16 clinic patients per day
• Approximately 14–16 patients per day at the outpatient endoscopy center
• Hospital census varies based on daily volume
• Provider will work alongside another GI physician from the practice
• Both hospital & clinic privileges are required
• EPIC EMR is utilized
• Travel coverage is available

Job Responsibilities
• Perform GI procedures in inpatient & outpatient settings
• Conduct outpatient clinic visits
• Perform procedures at the endoscopy center
• Round on hospitalized patients
• Conduct inpatient admissions and evaluations
• Provide 24 hour GI call coverage
• Respond to urgent GI consultations during call
• Manage adult patients age 18 and older
• Collaborate with the existing GI physician and support staff
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active Washington medical license required by start date
• Candidates with a pending Washington license may be considered for presentation
• Required certifications as determined by the medical staff office
• DEA and applicable controlled substance registration required
• Recent clinical experience in gastroenterology
• Ability to provide inpatient & outpatient GI care
• EPIC proficiency required
Working Hours
• Typically 8 hour clinical shifts
• Schedule may vary when covering call
• 24 hour call coverage required
• Weekend, evening & overnight coverage when on call
• Call includes consulting, rounding, admissions & GI procedures
• Call coverage includes both inpatient & outpatient GI responsibilities
