Locum Gastroenterologist – Grand Forks, North Dakota – Outpatient Procedures - (DM)

Assignment Dates: November 23–25 and December 28–31, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours
Call: No Call

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an outpatient locum tenens opportunity in North Dakota. The physician will provide primarily outpatient procedural GI care in a collaborative clinical environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient Gastroenterology coverage.
• Perform approximately 14–16 procedures per day.
• Perform primarily:
  • Colonoscopies
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGDs)
• Perform additional procedures as needed, including:
  • Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy
  • Foreign body removal
  • Fulguration/cauterization of bleeding
  • Injection of varices
  • Esophageal dilation
  • Manometry
  • Small bowel biopsy
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• Provide patient care in an outpatient setting.
• Work alongside other Gastroenterologists who are typically present on site.
• Collaborate with dedicated CRNA, RN, and technician support.
• Document patient care using the facility's EMR.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required.
• Board Certification required.
• Active North Dakota medical license required.
• IMLC providers will be considered.
• Strong experience performing outpatient GI procedures.
• Proficiency with colonoscopy and EGD required.
• Prior locum/travel experience preferred.

Working Hours

• Monday–Friday
• Daytime outpatient schedule
• Start as early as 7:30 AM
• End as late as 4:30 PM to allow time for charting
• 30-minute lunch
• No call
