We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist with ERCP experience to provide inpatient locum coverage in Springfield, Oregon. This is a hospital-based opportunity with an ASAP start upon credentialing and an anticipated 26-week assignment. The provider will manage inpatient consults, rounding, and GI procedures while serving as the primary inpatient Gastroenterologist with access to specialty consultants.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform ERCP procedures (Required) along with other GI procedures as clinically indicated.
• Conduct daily inpatient rounds and evaluate new consults.
• Manage approximately 10 adult patients per day.
• Collaborate with hospital specialists and outpatient GI colleagues.
• Participate in night call coverage as scheduled.
• Document all patient encounters using Epic EMR.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based gastrointestinal care.
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• ERCP experience is required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• Active Oregon medical license preferred (facility may consider licensing based on start date).
• Must provide clinical case logs from the previous 24 months demonstrating recent Gastroenterology practice.
• Recent inpatient Gastroenterology experience preferred.
Working Hours
• Start Date: ASAP (Upon Credentialing)
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Night Call: Required
• Schedule to be determined.
• Hospital privileges only.
