Job description
Locum Gastroenterology Physician (MD/DO) opportunity in Bellingham, Washington. This is a long-term assignment offering the opportunity to work in both hospital and clinic settings alongside an experienced Gastroenterology team.
Job Responsibilities
Perform patient evaluations, consultations, admissions, rounding, and follow-up care.
Perform GI procedures and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
Collaborate with other Gastroenterologists and the multidisciplinary care team.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
Active Washington medical license or willingness to obtain one before the start date.
Recent clinical experience meeting credentialing requirements.
Epic EMR experience preferred.
Working Hours
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Primarily weekday day shifts
Call: Approximately 14 hospital call shifts per month (24-hour call with morning clinic support)
Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
EMR: Epic
Skills
Inpatient consultations, admissions, and hospital rounding.
Endoscopic procedure experience.
Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork.
Accurate documentation and Epic EMR proficiency.
