Locum Gastroenterology Physician (MD/DO) opportunity in Bellingham, Washington. This assignment offers a rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive GI care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while working alongside an experienced Gastroenterology team.
Job Responsibilities
Perform GI consultations, patient evaluations, admissions, and daily rounding.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, including endoscopy.
Manage an average of 16 clinic patients per day and support hospital GI services.
Collaborate with an experienced Gastroenterology physician and multidisciplinary care team.
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
Active Washington medical license or willingness to obtain one (IMLC accepted)
Minimum of 2 years of Gastroenterology experience
Experience performing inpatient and outpatient GI procedures
Epic EMR experience preferred
Working Hours
Coverage: Clinic, Hospital & Endoscopy Center
Call: 24-hour call required (including consults, rounding, and GI procedures)
Start Date: ASAP (Upon Credentialing)
Assignment Duration: Through January 2027, with potential for extension
Skills
Experience with endoscopy and inpatient GI consults
Excellent communication and patient management abilities
Ability to work effectively in both clinic and hospital settings
Strong teamwork and clinical decision-making skills
