Schedule:
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
GI procedure blocks may begin as early as 7:30 AM
No weekends
No call
Coverage Requirement:
Providers must be available for at least one full Monday–Friday week every month on an ongoing basis.
Facility Details:
Location: 2 hours from Chicago, IL.
Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic & GI Procedure Lab
EMR: (Not specified)
Position Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• Moderate Sedation experience required
• Clean, easy-to-credential candidates highly preferred
• Provider must complete:
Health Attestation Form
Vaccination records
Negative drug screen
Physical completed within 90 days of start
Procedures Required:
General GI
• Colonoscopy
• Upper GI Endoscopy (EGD)
• Routine outpatient GI procedures
• Moderate Sedation
(Average case volume and detailed procedure list are contained within the facility's Practice Profile.)
Support Staff:
• Outpatient GI clinic staff
• Dedicated GI Procedure Lab team
Compensation Structure:
Flexible for this location. Would want to stick with the Gastro locum market rate.
Charting is included in the base hourly rate and is not billed separately.
Travel:
Driving-distance providers:
Mileage and lodging reimbursed
Air travelers:
Flight requests should be noted on the presentation form
Presentation Requirements:
• Current CV
• Board Certification
• Availability meeting assignment requirements
• Travel expectations
• Two completed professional references (required at submission)
• Malpractice documentation (if applicable)
• Name Clear completed prior to presentation
Additional Details:
• Seeking 2 Gastroenterologists
• Ongoing outpatient assignment due to continued coverage needs
• Candidates with excessive malpractice history or pending cases are discouraged due to credentialing challenges
• Start date dependent upon credentialing, payer enrollment, and completion of employee health requirements
