Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. This is an acute care hospital opportunity with a general and moderately advanced GI procedural scope. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform an average of 12 to 14 procedures per day
• Perform upper endoscopies (EGD) and colonoscopies, with and without polypectomy
• Perform ERCP at a mid-level to moderate complexity
• Perform esophageal, duodenal, and luminal stent placement
• Perform argon plasma coagulation, biopsies, and non-variceal hemostasis
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic EGD, esophageal dilation, and foreign body removal
• Perform flexible sigmoidoscopy and PEG placement
• Manage enteral alimentation, GI motility studies, and 24-hour pH monitoring
• Collaborate with advanced practice provider support
Qualifications
Working Hours
Five 8-hour shifts per week
Shared offsite call coverage, with call-ins approximately one to two times per week
One consistent provider strongly preferred; two providers alternating weeks considered
