Schedule:
Daily Clinical Hours
Monday: Inpatient only (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM)
Tuesday – Thursday:
Outpatient procedures: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Inpatient service afterward until approximately 1:00 PM
Friday: Inpatient only (8:30 AM – 9:30 AM)
Additional Procedures
Procedures may resume at 3:30 PM any day if needed
Earlier afternoon procedures possible if additional anesthesia coverage is available
Call Details:
24/7 GI Service Line Coverage
Seeking at least two physicians
Preferred schedule:
Approximately 26 weeks of coverage per physician
Weekday Call
Begins after final procedure of the day
Ends at 7:00 AM the following morning
Weekend Call
Saturday 7:00 AM
Through Monday 7:00 AM
Facility Details
Location: Near Topeka, Kansas
Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
EMR: Epic
Interview Process: Webex or Microsoft Teams preferred (Phone acceptable if needed)
Position Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterology
- Advanced GI experience preferred but NOT required
- Epic experience preferred
- Ability to provide long-term recurring coverage strongly preferred
Procedures Required:
General GI
- Colonoscopy
- EGD
- Standard diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
- Inpatient GI consults
- Hospital rounding
Advanced GI
- ERCP/Advanced GI experience preferred but not required
Support Staff:
- 2 dedicated Hospital-Based GI APRNs
- Endoscopy team
- Anesthesia support available
