Gastroenterologist – Outpatient Practice

A healthcare organization in South Central Montana is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Gastroenterologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment with the potential for permanent placement. This outpatient-only opportunity offers a four-day workweek, dedicated procedure time, no call, and the opportunity to supervise advanced practice providers.

• Contract: Ongoing
• Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
• Schedule: Four-day workweek
• Clinical Time: Outpatient clinic with one dedicated procedure day
• Call: None
• Hospital Coverage: None
• EMR: Cerner

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders in an outpatient setting
• Perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures as appropriate
• Perform biopsies, polypectomies, esophageal dilation, PEG placement, and other gastrointestinal procedures based on clinical expertise
• Coordinate patient care with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams
• Supervise advanced practice providers
• Document patient care using Cerner

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
• Active Montana medical license or willingness to obtain one
• Current BLS certification
• Current ABLS certification
• Comfortable supervising advanced practice providers
• Interest in a potential permanent opportunity preferred
• Eligible for hospital credentialing
