Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a long-term locum tenens position in Kingsport, Tennessee. This is a high-volume Acute Care Hospital role covering GI consults and procedures, including ERCP, across two facilities with 24-hour call. Please see below for more information.
- Two locations (BRMC ~348 beds and HVMC ~345 beds) covered each week
- 24-hour call (Monday 7am EST to Monday 7am EST); provider onsite ~8-10 hours/day
- Working 1:1 with an APP
- Well experienced in all general GI and ERCP cases and procedures required (no EUS)
- ~7-8 procedures per day; blocked time in endoscopy suite
- Adults (may be some younger than 18)
- Epic EMR (required, facility will not train); Olympus equipment
- Rarely called back onsite after hours (mostly phone consults)
- 104 week assignment
Job Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage across two facilities
- Handle GI consults and after-hours phone consults
- Complete ~7-8 procedures per day
- Assist with rounding as needed
Qualifications
- ERCP required (no EUS)
- Active Tennessee license or IMLC required
- Tennessee DEA required; Tennessee CSR preferred
- ACLS and BLS required
- Epic EMR experience required (facility will not train)
- Clean background with limited malpractice
