The Opportunity
What You'll Bring
Full-time; Tallahassee, FL
We are seeking an an Inpatient Gastroenterologist to join a procedure-forward GI Hospitalist program — with uncapped RVU compensation, strong APP support, advanced endoscopy volume, and the flexibility to work as employed or 1099.
The Perks
-
Lucrative Earning Potential: Highly competitive base salary plus uncapped RVU productivity — full-productivity compensation realistically in $650k+ range for high-volume ERCP and EUS performers.
-
Your Structure, Your Choice: Employed or 1099 — whichever model works for your career and financial goals.
-
Strong APP Support: Two experienced GI Nurse Practitioners handle the majority of rounding and consults, so you can focus on what you trained for.
-
Generous Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off. Hospital presence 7a to 5p.
-
Comprehensive Benefits (Employed Track): Health, Dental, Vision, Short and Long-Term Disability, 403(b) and 457(b), CME budget and paid days, license and certification costs covered.
-
Relocation Assistance: Available for the right candidate.
The Opportunity
-
Advance Your Procedural Career: Endoscopy Suite is the most advanced in North Florida and South Georgia. Immediate access to meaningful ERCP and EUS volume in a market that is significantly underserved for advanced GI care — and uncapped RVU means every procedure directly grows your income.
-
Establish Yourself in a High-Need Region: Serves an area with no comparable advanced endoscopy program nearby. The volume is there. The need is real.
-
Elevate Through Innovation: Optional teaching and research participation through the academic health partnership — a new $125 million health building opens in 2026 with clinical trials and precision health infrastructure.
-
Grow Within a Full-Service System: 500 inpatient beds, 72-bed ICU, 28 ORs, 4 interventional suites, and a Level II Trauma Center — the infrastructure to support complex GI care at the highest level.
Living in Tallahassee, FL
- Affordable Florida: Low cost of living compared to Miami, Tampa, and Orlando — with all of the Florida lifestyle and none of the price tag. Your income goes substantially further here than in any other major Florida market.
- The Other Florida: Rolling hills, canopy roads draped in Spanish moss, a vibrant university community, and Southern hospitality that surprises every candidate who visits.
- Coastal Access: Thirty minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. World-class beaches without living on top of them.
- Capital City Energy: Home to FSU, FAMU, and the seat of state government — a mid-sized city with outsized culture, dining, arts, and community.
