Job description
We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist (MD/DO) for a locum tenens position in Spokane, WA supporting a two-site float pool between Sacred Heart and Holy Family. This is a GI hospitalist-style role with weekday coverage only, created due to a retirement, and will remain open as an ongoing need until a permanent provider is hired. Job Responsibilities
Manage inpatient and outpatient GI responsibilities as assigned (inpatient/outpatient practice setting)
See an average of 5 patients per shift
Collaborate with the team to support ongoing coverage until permanent recruitment is complete
Optionally perform outpatient procedures if desired (please indicate interest at presentation)
Potential opportunity for consideration into a permanent role if the fit is mutual
Qualifications
GI Fellowship required (must have completed fellowship)
WA license or IMLC accepted
DEA required
BLS and ACLS required
Working Hours
No nights
No weekends
Scheduling / Coverage Notes
Providers requested: 1 (full-time preferred)
Minimum availability: 2 weeks per month if two providers can be arranged in a 2-on/2-off model
If one full-time provider is secured, outpatient procedure interest is welcomed and should be noted
Credentialing
Estimated timeframe: ~90 days
