Seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist for a procedural-focused opportunity in Kingsport, TN with strong APP support and minimal overnight call-backs.
Procedural Volume
• Approximately 5–6 procedures per day during call coverage
• Estimated total volume: 7–8 procedures per day
• Dedicated endoscopy suite block time available
Additional Responsibilities
• Inpatient consults
• Rounding support as needed
This is an excellent opportunity for a GI physician seeking a procedural-heavy practice with ERCP, APP support, and limited overnight disruptions.
Job Responsibilities
• Coverage across two facilities: BRMC & HVMC
• 1 physician paired 1:1 with an APP
• EMR: Epic
• Adult patient population
• Support from OR and Endoscopy nursing teams
Facilities
• BRMC – 348 beds
• HVMC – 345 beds
• Endoscopy Suite and Main OR coverage
Qualifications
Working Hours
• Monday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
• 24-hour call coverage throughout assignment
• Onsite approximately 8–10 hours per day
• Monday–Friday rounding/procedures with weekend call coverage
• Night call includes beeper coverage and 24-hour weekend call
• Most after-hours responsibilities handled via phone consults
Skills
• General GI procedures
• ERCP required
• EUS opportunities available
• Familiarity with Olympus equipment preferred
