Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterology physician with ERCP skills for a locum tenens position in Bristol, TN. This is a combined inpatient, procedural, and call coverage opportunity spanning two hospital sites, with no EUS required. Please see below for more information.
Beds: 348 (BRMC) / 345 (HVMC)
EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Perform approximately 7–8 procedures per day, with 5–6 average surgical volume during 24-hour call
Perform ERCP cases (EUS not required)
Provide weekday coverage along with weekend call
Provide overnight beeper coverage and 24-hour weekend call (rarely called onsite after hours)
Assist with inpatient rounding as needed
Manage GI consults
Work 1:1 with an APP, alongside OR and in-house endoscopy nursing
Utilize Olympus equipment
Care primarily for adult patient population
Qualifications
ERCP competency required
Active Tennessee state license (or IMLC accepted)
Tennessee DEA
Tennessee CSR (preferred)
BLS
ACLS
Epic proficiency required (facility will not train)
Working Hours
Onsite approximately 8–10 hours per day, Monday–Friday
Weekend call coverage included
Beeper coverage for nights plus 24-hour weekend call
Start Date: 8/1/2026
Contract Length: 2 years (104 weeks)
