Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterology physician for a locum tenens position in Anchorage, AK. This is a combined clinic, endoscopy, and call coverage opportunity with no ERCP or EUS required. Please see below for more information.
Trauma Level: II
EMR: Cerner
Job Responsibilities
Perform approximately 15 procedures on a full endoscopy day
Provide general GI care (ERCP and EUS not required; handled by general surgeons)
Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage and weeknight call
Work alongside a support team of 2 RNs, 2 schedulers, 2 CMAs, and 1 APP
Qualifications
Active Alaska state license
DEA
Working Hours
24-hour weekend call and weeknight call
Coverage needed: August (1 week), September (3 weeks), October (4 weeks), November (4 weeks), December (TBD)
Start Date: 7/27/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
