We are seeking a Gastroenterology physician for a locum tenens position in Ephrata, PA. This is a combined endoscopy center, inpatient, and call coverage opportunity at an acute care hospital. Please see below for more information.
- Beds: 130
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Manage approximately 10–12 inpatients, 2–4 consults, and 6 outpatient procedures per day during full coverage blocks
Provide weeknight beeper call (3:00p–7:00a) and weekend 24-hour call (7:00a–7:00a) during inpatient blocks
Work independently without APP support in the hospital
Care for adult patient population (18+) in an acute care hospital setting
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania state license (or IMLC LOQ in hand)

Working Hours
Ephrata Endoscopy Center coverage (scoping only, 7:00a–3:30p): June 29, June 30–July 1, July 1/6/10, August 3/5
Inpatient/full coverage blocks: July 27 (7:00a) – July 31 (5:00p) and October 2 (5:00p) – October 5 (7:00a)
Inpatient blocks: Monday–Friday 7:00a–3:00p plus weeknight beeper call 3:00p–7:00a; Saturday/Sunday 24-hour call 7:00a–7:00a
Start Date: 6/29/2026
Contract Length: Ongoing
