Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterology physician for a locum tenens position in York, PA. This is an inpatient consult and emergency procedure coverage opportunity at an acute care hospital, with no ERCP or EUS required and no scheduled outpatient procedures. Please see below for more information.
- Beds: 593
- Trauma Level: I–IV
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Cover 9–16 new consults per day
Perform emergency GI procedures (no scheduled outpatients)
Work alongside APP support for consults and follow-up
Collaborate with onsite anesthesiology support
Care for adult patient population (18+) in an acute care hospital setting
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania state license (or IMLC LOQ in hand)
DEA
Working Hours
7/26: 24-hour call
9/1, 9/28, 10/1: 10-hour days (7:00a–5:00p) plus night call
Coverage commitment: approximately 1 week per month and weekends
Start Date: 7/26/2026
Contract Length: Ongoing
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
