- Expected duration of assignment: 6 months
- Reason for opening: Gap in coverage
- Type of privileges (clinic/hospital/both): Both
- Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient or Both? Both
- If Inpatient, # of beds: 253
- Call requirement: Yes - 24-hour call/hospitalist shifts for weekday and weekend (Rounding, consults, inpatient/outpatient GI procedures)
- Rounding, admissions, or none? Both
- Patient demographics: Adult (18+)
- Average patients per day: Clinic - 16, Outpatient Endoscopy Center 14-16; Hospital Census - varies
- Required Procedures: Gastroenterology procedures; ERCP required
- Required clinical activity in the last 24 months (case logs): Applicant must provide documentation of provision of gastroenterology services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months (waived for applicants who completed training during the previous year).
- AND If training to perform double balloon enteroscopy or capsule endoscopy occurred in the previous 2 years applicant must provide a description of supervised training on human subjects along with a letter from the supervising physician attesting to clinical competence as an independent operator. If training occurred greater than 2 years ago the applicant must provide documentation of ongoing clinical practice in each privilege requested.
- ERCP: Applicant must provide documentation of provision of clinical services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months (waived for applicants who completed training during the previous year).
- Maintenance for ERCP: At least (50) successful ERCP procedures in the past (2) years. If maintenance criteria is not met, physician must be proctored for remaining cases by a physician currently holding this privilege.
- Will provider work solo? If not, other providers specialties working with them: No, other GI MD are part of the practice
- Licensed Candidate: Our preference is for Washington licensed candidates but we can accept IMLC
- Required certifications (Must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross as applicable): Board certified GI, ACLS
- EMR: EPIC EMR experience preferred; Provation GI software preferred
