## Gastroenterologist opening | Oswego, NY Central New York — Lake Ontario Shoreline ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent hospital-employed position — 2 positions available * Setting: Outpatient practice and OR — 50% office / 50% OR * Practice located at Seneca Hill Health Center campus — approximately 10 minutes from the hospital * Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00a–4:30p * Call: 7 days per month — 5 weekdays and 2 weekend days (Friday 5:00p through Monday 7:00a) * EMR: Meditech * Planning for 2027 retirement of 2 part-time GI physicians — seeking 2 full-time replacements ## Practice Overview Seeking 2 BC/BE Gastroenterologists to join 1 existing full-time general gastroenterologist and APPs at a growing GI practice: * Bread and butter GI including screenings, GI bleeds, polyp recalls, and more * ERCP — required * EUS — no current capabilities but open to discussion * Approximately 20 patients per day in the outpatient practice * Approximately 15 scopes per day in the OR * Available for inpatient consults as needed * Increased volume driving expansion from 2 part-time to 2 full-time positions ## Compensation & Benefits * Salary range: $750,000–$800,000 annually plus wRVU model * Sign-on bonus: $100,000 * Relocation reimbursement: Up to $10,000 with receipts * Student loan repayment: $30,000 over length of contract (if applicable) * Paid time off and CME time off: 34 days total including 6 legal holidays * Annual CME, dues, and licensure reimbursement: $5,500 * Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance * 403(b) retirement plan * Malpractice paid by employer ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology * ERCP proficiency — required * New York medical license or willingness to obtain ## About the Community – Oswego, New York * Charming port city on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario in central New York * Home to the State University of New York at Oswego — vibrant college town atmosphere * Rich maritime history with scenic lakefront parks, lighthouses, and the historic Fort Ontario * World-class fishing including salmon, trout, and walleye on Lake Ontario and the Oswego River * Abundant outdoor recreation including boating, hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling * Affordable cost of living with welcoming, family-friendly communities * Easy access to Syracuse — approximately 35 miles southeast * Four distinct seasons with stunning lake country scenery
