We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. This is a well-structured, hospital + clinic-based role offering a balanced 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule.
📍 Position Overview
- Specialty: Gastroenterology
- Start Date: June 29, 2026
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Practice Settings: Hospital + Clinic
Schedule
- 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
- Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Duties include:
- Colonoscopies & EGD procedures
- Inpatient rounding and consults
Job Responsibilities
Patient Volume: 10–11 patients/day
Patient Population: Ages 18–99
Hospital Bed Size: 30 beds
Procedures: Standard GI procedures (no specialty procedures required)
EMR: Epic
👥 Support Structure
1 Supervising MD
3 APPs
3 Clinical staff
2 Non-clinical staff
Qualifications
Board Certified in Gastroenterology (required)
Active Pennsylvania license (required)
DEA required
Minimum 2 years of experience
⏱ Credentialing
Approximately 90 days
Temporary privileges available for clean files
Working Hours
Predictable block schedule (2 on / 2 off)
Strong clinical and APP support team
Balanced inpatient + outpatient workflow
EPIC EMR environment
