Position Overview
A community-based facility is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a 6-month locums assignment. This role offers a balanced mix of procedural and inpatient responsibilities in a collaborative, low-volume setting.
Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Coverage: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform colonoscopies and EGDs
- Manage inpatient consults and follow-ups
- Patient Volume: 10–11 patients per day
- Patient Population: Adults (18–99)
Practice Setting
- Mix of clinic and hospital coverage
- 30-bed hospital
- EMR: Epic
- No advanced/specialty procedures required
Support Team
- 1 Physician
- 3 APPs
- 3 Clinical staff
- 2 Non-clinical staff
Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active state license
- DEA required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
Credentialing
- Estimated 90 days
- Temporary privileges available for clean files
