## Gastroenterologist | Walla Walla, Washington ## Position Details * FT, permanent * Setting: Outpatient and inpatient — Level III Trauma facility * Call: Scheduled clinical hours plus beeper call * Admissions: Not required * Hospital privileges required * EMR: Epic * Credentialing timeframe: 90 days * Stroke Certified facility ## Practice Overview Seeking a BC Gastroenterologist to fill an ongoing vacancy at an outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology practice: * Support staff includes 2 RNs, 3 MAs, and 0.5 PA/NP * No resident or teaching supervision required * No supervision of advanced practice providers required * Fellowship required ## Required Clinical Skills * Upper GI endoscopy — required * Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy — required * Foreign body removal — required * Fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser) — required * Injection of varices — required * PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) — required * Esophageal dilatation/manometry — required * Small bowel biopsy — required * Lower GI endoscopy — required * Flexible sigmoidoscopy — required * Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision — required * Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) — required ## Required Certifications * BLS — required ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified in Gastroenterology * Fellowship required * WA license or willingness to obtain — licensing reimbursement not available * Clean background required
