We are seeking a Gastroenterology Physician to provide weekend on-call coverage at an acute care hospital in scenic Mountain Home, Arkansas 🏔️. This position is ideal for local GI providers looking for a low-volume, high-value locums opportunity with consistent coverage needs.

Schedule & Coverage
Call Coverage:
- Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
Shifts Include:
- Standard weekend call
- Two night shifts (12 hours): 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
🔁 Frequency: One weekend per month
Clinical Details
- Setting: Inpatient
- Facility: Acute Care Hospital (200+ beds)
- Trauma Level: Adult Level III / IV 🚑
- Patient Census: 1–2 patients per day
- Patient Population: Adults & adolescents
- Cases Include:
- 🩺 Endoscopies
- 🩸 GI bleeds
- 🔍 Evaluation of GI conditions
- Support Staff: RN team
- EMR: Epic 💻 (Cerner listed in system history)
Requirements
- 📍 Active Arkansas Medical License – Required
- 🏠 Must be local to Arkansas
- 💊 DEA: Required
- 💉 COVID-19 Vaccine: Required
- Medical/Religious Exemptions Accepted
- 🌡️ Flu Vaccine: Required
