We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum opportunity in Lewisburg, PA. This role offers 2 weeks per month coverage with a mix of procedures, inpatient care, and call responsibilities in a well-supported hospital setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for providers looking for a balanced schedule with procedural focus and ongoing assignment.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled GI procedures (4.5 hours daily, Wed–Fri, occasional Monday)
• Conduct inpatient rounding and consults in the afternoon
• Provide outpatient clinic coverage as needed
• Manage adult and geriatric patient populations
• Collaborate with anesthesia and clinical support teams
• Document using Epic EMR
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania license required (or willing to obtain)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience preferred
Working Hours
• Call: 24-hour call (Monday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM)
• Daily Hours: 8 hours (Monday–Friday)
• Procedures: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Wed–Fri, occasional Monday)
• Afternoons: Inpatient rounding and consults
• Clinic: Occasional (approx. 4 hours as needed)
Skills
• Ability to manage inpatient and outpatient workflows
• Comfortable with call coverage and hospital-based care
• Strong clinical decision-making and teamwork
