Locums | Gastroenterology | Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call | Petoskey, MI Why This Role * Hospital-based practice with both outpatient and inpatient endoscopy coverage * High procedural volume: 18 outpatients and 20 inpatient scopes per day * ERCP required, providing advanced procedural experience * Full support staff onsite including 2 physicians and 2 APPs; lab and X-ray available Assignment Details * Start Date: ASAP * End Date: 6/4/2026 * Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call * Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM; 24-hour weekend call (Saturdays and Sundays only) * Patients per Day: 18 outpatients / 20 inpatient scopes * Call Details: 24-hour weekend call (4 hours gratis) * EMR: Cerner * Open Dates: * 3/12/2026 5 PM – 3/19/2026 * 3/26/2026 5 PM – 4/9/2026 * 4/23/2026 5 PM – 4/30/2026 * 5/14/2026 5 PM – 6/4/2026 Requirements * Board Certified in Gastroenterology (will consider BE providers) * Active Michigan license at time of submission * ACLS * Clean background and malpractice history * Completed GI fellowship with minimum 2–3 years of experience * COVID vaccination * DEA verbal confirmation * Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days at time of presentation * Local candidates driving in preferred; IMLC accepted for dates 60+ days out with LOQ documentation Clinical Details * Scope: Outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology with ERCP capability * Typical Procedures: * ERCP * Upper and lower endoscopy * Inpatient and outpatient consults * Endoscopic therapeutic interventions as indicated Compensation * Rates: Facility is accepting bids * Malpractice: Provided * Travel: Reimbursed
