Locum Gastroenterology (GI) Provider Opportunities in MI!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Gastroenterology (GI) provider (ASAC) to work in a hospital-based setting, delivering both outpatient and inpatient care. The role focuses on endoscopy coverage and GI consults during regular daytime hours, with additional weekend call responsibilities but no weekday night call.

Dates / Schedule

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call: 24-hour weekend call (no weekday night call)

• April 5 – April 9, 2026
• April 23 – April 30, 2026
• May 14 – June 4, 2026

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Provide GI care in a hospital clinic setting
• Perform:
  • ~18 outpatient visits per day
  • ~20 inpatient scopes per day
• Deliver endoscopy coverage and handle consults between 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Work alongside support staff:
  • 2 physicians
  • 2 advanced practice providers (APPs)
• Utilize onsite resources:
  • Lab services
  • X-ray imaging
• Document care using Cerner EMR
• Follow administrative processes:
  • Clock in/out via DocTime (no paper timesheets)
  • Comply with travel and expense policies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology (required; will consider truly board-eligible candidates)
• Active Michigan license & CSR at submission (no exceptions)
• ACLS certification
• DEA (verbal confirmation required)
• COVID-19 vaccination
• Clean background (no significant actions; minimal malpractice acceptable)
• Experience: Fellowship completed with 2–3+ years of practice
• Local candidate (must be able to drive in)
• IMLC (if applicable):
  • Availability must be 60+ days out
  • Must provide Letter of Qualification (LOQ)

• NPDB self-query (within 30 days)
• Required personal details for submission (address, phone, email, DOB)
• Immunizations:
  • Hep B, MMR, Varicella (or titers)
  • Flu (current season)
  • COVID documentation
