Gastroenterologist

A hospital-employed practice in Central Jersey is actively seeking licensed Gastroenterologists to join their growing teams in Ocean and Monmouth Counties.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Standard business (40 hours/week)
• Call: Typically 6 days/month (any calls after that are compensated for)
• Setting: Hospital-employed outpatient practice

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and conditions in the field of Gastroenterology
• Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
• Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients
• Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary
• Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results
• Providing compassionate and empathetic support and advice to patients regarding their health concerns
• Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary
• Performing other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
