Job Responsibilities
- Provide weekend hospital call coverage for gastroenterology services
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Manage inpatient GI consultations and urgent cases
- Conduct procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound
- Interpret esophageal manometry and other GI diagnostics
- Perform liver biopsy and small bowel biopsy procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
Qualifications
- Board Certified Gastroenterologist (Required)
- Active Virginia Medical License (Required)
- ERCP procedural competency required
- Clean malpractice and background history
- Current NPDB Self-Query report
- DEA License (if applicable)
- BLS/ACLS certification (if applicable)
- Ability to provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage
